Job Overview
Pulse is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Band 7 Dispensary Pharmacist to join a busy NHS hospital pharmacy service in Yorkshire. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the delivery of safe, effective, and high‑quality dispensary services within a well‑established hospital setting. You will play a key role in clinical screening, accuracy checking, and supporting the wider pharmacy team to ensure patients receive timely and appropriate pharmaceutical care.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver safe, efficient, and high‑quality dispensary services.
* Conduct clinical screening and accuracy checking of prescriptions.
* Provide expert medicines information and advice to patients and healthcare professionals.
* Support and supervise pharmacy technicians and assistants within the dispensary.
* Ensure compliance with legal, professional, and organisational standards.
* Participate in audits, service development, and quality improvement initiatives.
* Maintain accurate documentation and uphold robust governance practices.
Qualifications and Experience
* Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
* Previous NHS hospital dispensary experience (essential).
* Strong understanding of medicines legislation, dispensing processes, and clinical screening.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment with strong attention to detail.
* A proactive, patient‑focused, and professional approach.
