The opportunity has arisen to join an industry leader in the UK & Ireland’s Building Services sector. Alternative Heat designs, develops, and delivers a wide range of offsite-prefabricated, innovative, and sustainable building service solutions throughout the UK & Europe.
We specialise in the design, supply, and installation of prefabricated energy solutions, typically built in NI and shipped throughout the UK & Europe. We also offer turnkey design, build, and operate solutions for commercial energy centres and large-scale district heating projects, with experience in delivering similar packages to public bodies across the UK & Europe.
Role Overview
Alternative Heat has opportunities for experienced Blasting and Painting Supervisors and Managers at our state-of-the-art surface preparation & coating facilities in the Banbridge area.
You will supervise/manage workforce compliance with quality standards and procedures for substrate preparation and coating application on workshop projects.

Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-3pm

Key Responsibilities
* Manage daily workforce operations
* Ensure compliance with project specifications, ITPs, and client requirements
* Handle material storage, traceability, and data sheet availability
* Monitor performance of personnel and equipment
* Ensure inspection and test equipment is calibrated and personnel are trained
* Maintain conformity of blast media and coating materials to specifications
* Verify surface preparation meets requirements
* Monitor dry film thickness and re-coating intervals
* Replace identification marks or tags as needed
* Prepare daily work progress reports
* Perform other duties as required
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
Essential Criteria
* ICORR qualification preferred but not essential
Experience in:
* Painting and Coating Specifications
* Blasting and Surface Parameters
* Painting Techniques
