We're currently looking for a recycling operative to join our fast-growing team at Lee Mill.

This role will involve working at one principal site at Lee Mill Industrial Estate, but you will also be required to periodically help manage waste processes at several other neighbouring sites across Plymouth.
You will need to be:
* Punctual
* Reliable
* Physically fit
* Approachable
* Driving licence is essential
* Forklift experience is desirable but not essential as training will be given
* A flexible approach to work will be advantageous as you will be expected to cover holiday and sick days if required.
Duties include:
* Providing excellent levels of customer service, you will advise and assist members of the public and DCW on how to use the site in order to maximise recovery of materials they are depositing, which will involve:
* Controlling the exchange of containers by booking loads with the relevant person, thus ensuring the site always has space to segregate and store material correctly.
* Maintaining a tidy and organised site within your areas of responsibility.
* Maintaining and cleaning our stock of wheeled bins ready for customer use
* Recording stock levels regularly
* Receiving, shredding and dismantling confidential waste ensuring that GDPR standards are maintained to the highest level
* Ensuring DCWL/SUEZ complies fully with its legal duties in respect of the health, safety and welfare of its employees and of other people who may be affected by his/her actions or omissions.
* Co-operating with DCWL/SUEZ and with other employees in order to comply with the site permit, comply with all applicable legislation, and DCWL/SUEZ Policies and Procedures.
* Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job-role.
* Provide banksman supervision for all DCW vehicles arriving on site during working hours
PPE and DCW uniform will be provided. Full training will be given.
