We are looking for enthusiastic and dynamic people to join our team of Theatre Support Workers at Tunbridge Wells Hospital. You will work with our qualified theatre staff to provide direct support to patients undergoing surgery, including checking patients in, attaching monitoring equipment, and completing documentation.
Responsibilities
* Circulate during procedures and assist with counts inside theatre.
* Help to clean the theatre between cases and keep it stocked for the next list.
* Assist with transferring patients on beds, trolleys and wheelchairs around the hospital."
This is a physical role that involves moving patients around the hospital. The position includes weekend and night working.
Site Information
Tunbridge Wells at Pembury Hospital is the Trust’s ‘Hot site’ and runs both elective and emergency services. It comprises 11 theatres covering a wide range of specialties: Orthopaedics (Elective & Trauma), CEPOD, Gynaecology, Lower GI & Day case Upper GI, Urology, Breast, Obstetrics, Ophthalmic, ENT and Paediatric Orthopaedics & ENT.

Security and induction
Please note that appointment to this post will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service Check at Enhanced Level (Enhanced level now includes regulated checks against vulnerable adults and children).
All successful applicants will be required to complete our corporate trust induction once a start date has been agreed. Following your Corporate Induction you will be expected to attend the Trust’s Clinical Induction Programme for Clinical Support Workers (which starts on the first day of employment). The programme is full-time (please contact the CSW Induction Programme Lead if this is going to be problematic: rallen@nhs.net), lasts for two weeks and will involve travelling to both Trust sites. The programme includes 2 supernumerary shifts in the clinical area (an early and a late shift); all other days are classroom-based and run from 9am to 5pm.
