Job Description
Based full time in central Oxford the Temporary Accountant will be responsible for:
3. Assist with Quarterly VAT Returns and the annual Partial Exemption adjustment
4. Prepare and post endowment gains/losses and movement journals on a monthly and quarterly basis
5. Prepare and post nominal ledger journals, including depreciation and ad-hoc adjustments
6. Review creditors, debtors, and balance sheet items, making adjustments as necessary
7. Support month-end routines, including analysis of variances and commentary against budget
8. Post pension scheme and subsidiary journals
9. Assist with statutory year-end accounts and respond to audit queries
10. Produce monthly and quarterly financial reports for budget holders and senior managers
11. Help prepare cashflow forecasts
12. Initially this position is 5 days per week in the office. After a few months this may be relaxed to a more hybrid model. Offices are situated in central Oxford, no parking is available but they are easily accessible from the train station of Oxford Park-and-Ride.
