We have a fantastic opportunity for a Shunter Driver to join our dynamic team in Westerleigh, Bristol.
Job Title: Shunter Driver
Key Responsibilities:
* Conducting daily tug/trailers inspections, immediately reporting any defects and/or damage to the supervisor/manager, and completing associated documentation in line with the company policy
* Check if tug/trailers are correctly fuelled and fuel when required.
* Check trailers temperatures.
* Liaising with the despatch, yard, dolav wash, and goods in staff to ensure smooth and efficient loading/unloading of trailers.
* Observing and adhering to company rules, site procedures, and all aspects of Health & Safety and Hygiene at all times
* Assist with Forklift operator duties (loading/unloading Dolavs and Pallets from/to the trailers) when shunting is not required.
You Will Need To:
* have previous Shunting experience is ideal but not essential as full training is available to the right candidates.
* be able to work efficiently within a fast-paced and pressured environment
* have the ability to communicate effectively with drivers and colleagues.
* be able to complete documentation accurately and on time.
* have a high level of Health and Safety Awareness.
* have Forklift Truck Licence Beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided
