The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a mid‑level Associate with three to five years' post‑qualification experience to join a well‑established IP team in London. The role offers exposure to a broad and high‑quality workload spanning contentious and non‑contentious matters, with a particular emphasis on UK litigation. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced partners while contributing to the continued development of the wider practice.
Key Responsibilities
* Advising on the full range of intellectual property rights, with a focus on UK IP litigation
* Acting on matters across key sectors including life sciences, retail & consumer and technology
* Supporting both contentious and non‑contentious IP work across multiple industries
* Assisting partners on complex, high‑value IP disputes and advisory matters
* Contributing to business development and the ongoing growth of the IP practice
* Collaborating with colleagues across disciplines and international offices
* Managing appropriate aspects of complex IP matters with increasing autonomy
Requirements
* Qualified lawyer with 3-5 years' post‑qualification experience in Intellectual Property
* Experience handling complex contentious and non‑contentious IP matters within a comparable private practice environment
* Demonstrable experience or strong interest in UK IP litigation
* Existing UK experience is highly desirable
* Ideally completed the Oxford Postgraduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law and Practice
* Ability to work flexibly across a broad range of IP issues, jurisdictions and industry sectors
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with partners and cross‑disciplinary teams
* Proven ability to manage elements of complex matters efficiently and at the appropriate level
