Develops and manages the UK and Ireland pharmacovigilance function in accordance with current legislation, guidelines and relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), under direction of the Head of Drug Safety/EU QPPV, Act as National Contact Person for Pharmacovigilance with the MHRA to be readily contactable to facilitate responses to pharmacovigilance queries raised by the MHRA, including via inspections. Collaborates with the Head of Drug Safety / EU QPPV, to ensure a compliant, effective PV system within the UK and Ireland, including the maintenance of the UK and EU PSMFs. Acts as the key interface for Medical Information across Almirall Limited providing: Leadership of the relationship between Almirall UK/Ireland and third-party Medical Information and Pharmacovigilance services/vendors, to ensure the process of adverse event reporting, enquiry handling, or any other services delegated are performed in compliance with current regulations and guidelines. Management of Almirall Ltd’s Medical Information services in accordance with Pharmaceutical Information & Pharmacovigilance Association (PIPA) guidelines and relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in order to effectively manage the identification, storage and provision of appropriate Medical Information to external and internal customers. Oversight of adherence to ABPI Code in so far as it applies to pharmacovigilance and provision of medical information services and provides proactive input to ensure compliance in consultation with key internal stakeholders, fostering understanding of the process requirements Effective handling of second-line medical information enquiries through (i) provision of accurate medical and scientific information with appropriate data to support marketed and pre-launch medicines and aid decision making to support the short- and long-term business goals, and/or (ii) delegation to appropriate Almirall colleagues for response, and/or (iii) utilisation of approved AI to generate accurate and appropriate responses Ensures own CPD is in line with the business requirements and supports the ongoing training needs of Almirall employees on all relevant medical topics.
