Management Accountant
Salary: £30,000 per annum

The Role
As a Management Accountant, you will work closely with senior management, departmental heads, and the wider finance team to provide accurate, timely, and meaningful financial information. You’ll be instrumental in developing management reporting, supporting business performance, and ensuring our financial operations run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
* Production, review, and presentation of monthly management accounts
* Development and enhancement of management information and departmental performance reports
* Preparing motor trade composite reports for manufacturers
* Reviewing and reconciling Profit & Loss and balance sheet accounts
* Assisting with year-end accounts preparation and audit support
* Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns to HMRC
* Liaising with external auditors and professional advisors
* Providing financial insights and analysis to departmental managers
About You
We’re looking for someone who brings strong technical accounting knowledge, great attention to detail, and the confidence to collaborate across the business.
You will ideally have:
* Qualified or part-qualified accountant status (CIMA preferred, but ACCA/ACA also welcome)
* Motor trade experience (advantageous, not essential)
* Excellent understanding of financial accounting and reporting standards
* Advanced Excel skills and strong general IT capability
* Exceptional accuracy and the ability to meet strict deadlines
* Strong communication and presentation skills
* The ability to work both independently and as part of a small team
* A proactive approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
