We're looking for a Junior Architectural Technologist (0-3 years' post-graduation experience) to join our friendly, close-knit team at James Totty Partnership (JTP Architects) in Sheffield.
We are a well-established practice working across a wide range of projects, primarily in the Healthcare and Blue Light (emergency services) sectors, with a strong focus on thoughtful, practical design and long-term client relationships. Our studio is collaborative and supportive, and we enjoy working closely together to deliver well-considered architecture.
This is a great opportunity for a recent Architectural Technology graduate who is keen to gain hands-on experience in practice and develop their skills in a welcoming environment.
The Role
You will support the delivery of projects from planning through to construction, assisting in the production of technical information and gaining valuable exposure to live sites and multidisciplinary coordination.
Assisting in the preparation of technical drawings and construction packages.
Producing detailed working drawings and specifications.
Supporting Planning and Building Regulations applications.
Liaising with consultants, contractors and suppliers.
Ensuring compliance with current UK Building Regulations and standards.
Supporting BIM and project coordination processes.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
Has either completed an undergraduate degree in Architectural Technology (or similar), or who has a Higher National Diploma with a minimum of 1 year's industry experience.
Is experienced in using Revit, AutoCAD experience is desirable.
A good understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction detailing.
Has a proactive attitude and eager to learn.
Has strong attention to detail and technical accuracy.
Communicates clearly and works well within a team.
