Our client is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team. It is essential to have a solid background in a machining / CNC environment or precision mechanical engineering due to the company's quality control measures.
In this role, you will report to the Quality Manager and liaise directly with the production team to support and improve processes.
Main Duties
* Ensure procedures are updated and developed to achieve best practice.
* Ensure all customer specifications are met and maintained; organize quality planning and process documentation.
* Conduct internal data analysis, raise and document NCRs, and use problem-solving techniques to resolve issues promptly, escalating when necessary.
* Validate customer complaints and implement robust corrective actions using tools like 8D and 5 Whys.
* Administer applications for concessions, waivers, and production permits.
* Identify, analyze, and resolve or recommend solutions to various problems.
Additional Duties
* Manage data input from drawings, standards, and specifications into the company MRP for process control, batch routing, and FAIRs.
* Assist with other tasks as directed by the Quality department.
* Monitor quality KPIs and contribute to monthly reports.
* Assist in monitoring supplier performance and approval ratings.
* Ensure maintenance of system audit schedules (Quality & Environmental).

* Experience with problem resolution and root cause analysis.
* Ability to read and understand technical drawings, symbols, revisions, and specifications.

* Self-motivated, versatile, and capable of working independently in a team environment.
* Experience with engineered metallic components (turned/milled) or related aerospace background.
* Knowledge of using precision measuring equipment.
* Meticulous approach to measurement, standards comparison, and process monitoring.
Training will be provided for the right candidate where applicable.
