We are currently looking for – Theatres Nurses with Anaesthetic and/or Recovery. The Theatres department are committed to developing their staff and would support any member with Anaesthetic training. We will also accept nurses from outside of Europe however, our preference is EU trained. Job summary The Theatre Anaesthetic team are looking to recruit Band 5 ODPs or Registered Nurses with recognised anaesthetic qualification, to work within our specialised cardiothoracic suite comprising of Six theatres, Cath labs and thoracic recovery. Main duties of the job To help and support the patient prior to surgery, preparing a wide range of specialist equipment and drugs, including anaesthetic machines, intravenous equipment, and devices that safely secure the patient's airway during anaesthesia. During the surgical procedure the anaesthetic practitioner will also provide essential support between the surgical team and other parts of the operating theatre and hospital. The anaesthetic practitioner will also be responsible for the preparation and safe transfer of the patient to the Critical Care or Recovery area. Requirements Qualifications: Essential HCPC registered ODP or NMC registered nurse with recognized anesthetic course Desirable Practice assessor qualification. Experience Essential Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team. Nurses are paid as a Band 4 point one equating to £25,147 until receipt of their pin, once we have received their pin they will be uplifted to a Band 5 point 1 equating to £28,407.
