About the Role
An exciting opportunity to join a market-leading organisation in a growth-focused Business Development role. With an established client portfolio and strong brand presence, this position offers the chance to develop and expand relationships with existing customers while identifying new business opportunities. You'll be supported by an experienced projects team and a business that is committed to helping you achieve success.
Responsibilities
* Developing and strengthening relationships with existing and previous clients to maximise commercial opportunities and increase project spend.
* Identifying and engaging with prospective new customers to generate additional business opportunities.
* Managing a sales approach focused on approximately 80% existing/lapsed clients and 20% new business development.
* Collaborating closely with the projects and delivery teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
* Building a strong pipeline of opportunities and contributing to the continued growth of the business.
* Representing the company professionally and maintaining its reputation for outstanding service and delivery.
* Client Visits
Qualifications
* No formal qualifications but a strong background in a Business Development Manager, Sales Manager, Client Development Manager, Sales Projects Manager, Account Manager, or similar customer-facing commercial role.
Required Skills
* Strong relationship-building and client engagement skills, with the ability to develop trust and long-term partnerships.
* Experience selling within construction, commercial interiors, fit-out, facilities, building services, or a related sector would be advantageous.
* Candidates from other industries with transferable business development and consultative sales experience are also encouraged to apply.
* A proactive, self-motivated approach with a passion for identifying opportunities and driving growth.
Preferred Skills
* Previous experience in a similar business development or account growth role.
* Experience managing customer relationships within a project-led environment.
* Understanding of commercial fit-out, construction, refurbishment, or workplace solutions sectors.
Pay Range and Compensation Package
* Circa £50,000 basic salary
* £6,000 Car Allowance
* Performance-related Bonus Scheme circa 20% of salary
