CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent
HOURS OF WORK: 40-60 hours (dependant on operational and client requirements)
SALARY: Salary around £35,000
CLOSING DATE: 16th June 2025
A vacancy has arisen for a Plant Operative to join our Coke Handling contract at Killingholme.
The purpose of this role exists to carry out key operations on and around the Refinery operating different mobile plant as required.
The role briefly encompasses the following duties: -
* Operating Loading Shovels, dumpers and 360’s
* Maintain all coke is stowed and identified as requested with the client
* Shift working rotas to fit the Refinery requirements
* Loading and unloading inbound and outbound HGV’s
* Good flexibility and time keeping
* Promote HIS core safety values
* Completing paperwork
* Carrying out inspections
* Carrying out audits
* Joining in team briefings and safety meetings
* Housekeeping Work closely with all areas to implement policies and strategies to achieve business objectives
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/experience/ attributes:-
* Full UK Driving Licence
* FEL & FLT Licence, Dump truck and 360 advantageous but training can be given
* Health and Safety experience preferred but training will be given for the right candidate
* Experience with mobile plant
* Highly motivated and willing to learn new skills
* Excellent paperwork and documentation skills
* Reliable and willing to be flexible
* Ability to think fast and adapt to quickly changing circumstances
* Good attitude, polite and good communicator
* A team player, able to work alongside others but also work alone
