Maintenance Engineer
Monday to Friday | 9am 5pm | Permanent Position | Salary £38,000
SourceCo Recruitment are currently hiring for a Maintenance Engineer on behalf of a trusted and reputable manufacturing business operating within the plastics sector.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to join a stable and growing company where youll play a key role in keeping production running efficiently through planned and reactive maintenance across site equipment and machinery.
The role would suit someone with a strong mechanical and electrical maintenance background who enjoys problem solving, working independently, and being hands on within a fast paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
* Responding quickly and effectively to machinery breakdowns
* Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
* Conducting routine inspections across plant equipment
* Assisting with machinery installations and upgrades
* Maintaining accurate maintenance records
* Supporting general upkeep of the site and facilities
* Managing and maintaining spare parts stock
* Ensuring equipment is maintained safely and efficiently at all times
What Were Looking For
* Previous experience within a maintenance engineering role
* Strong mechanical and electrical fault finding skills
* Experience working within manufacturing or production environments
* Electrical qualifications such as City & Guilds or equivalent preferred
* Experience within plastics/PVC manufacturing would be advantageous
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Good attention to detail and a proactive attitude
