About This Role
We are looking for a dedicated and organised Attendance Officer to join our academy team. This role is key to promoting excellent student attendance, supporting families, and ensuring accurate record‑keeping ensuring every student thrives.

As our Attendance Officer you will work closely with students, parents, carers, and academy staff to improve attendance, behaviour, and overall performance. You will monitor attendance daily, identify concerns early, and use a range of strategies to reduce absence and encourage engagement.
You will be a reliable and hard-working team player with strong written and verbal communication skills.
The post is offered working 37 hours per week, 39 working weeks per year (term time plus 1 week to include personal development days). Experience working within a school environment and using Arbor are desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.

Purpose of the job
Alongside supporting the supervision of students in the isolation room, the role will involve some pastoral administration work; including leading on the management of the school’s centralised detention and behaviour system and assisting with on‑call. You will be resilient with the ability to help students reflect on their behaviour, alongside excellent communication skills and good IT skills.
