About the Role
Teacher Active is proud to work with Stoke-on-Trent City Council, Alternative Provisions, and Independent Schools supporting vulnerable children with SEMH needs, including challenging behaviour, bipolar disorder, mood swings, and MLD.
As a SEMH Teacher/Instructor/Tutor, you will work in a residential setting with students having Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs. Your responsibilities include planning, preparing, and delivering lessons, supporting students with their GCSEs, and creating weekly reports on their learning and behaviour.
Candidate Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and at least 6 months of SEND/SEMH experience
* Flexibility to cover last-minute staff absences
* Ability to plan lessons and adapt tasks to meet individual needs
* Effective communication skills with staff
