Job Description As Flight Checker Shift Manager, you will be leading a team of flight checkers on day and night shift Managing the area and allocating the jobs to flight checkers Communicating with internal departments / Airside team and resolving day to day issues Daily Labour hour corrections and staff management You will be leading a team responsible for checking carts, canisters and ovens for quantity and quality You need to be able to work under own initiative and lead the team Hour by hour full status updates to line managers about the tasks Each day will be different as you may be working on different customer assignments You will be working in a chilled environment and will be provided with the appropriate equipment and clothing Defining systems of working to ensure quality of product, problems are resolved with solutions and continuous improvement initiatives are instigated To build and maintain excellent working relationships with all department Heads, ensuring the provision of a positive and professional service that elevates the DO & CO reputation and any highlighted problems have an implemented solution Maintaining good working relationships with all DO & CO departments. Strong written and verbal English, and will use a variety of methods to communicate with team and other departments Ability to work under pressure. Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations The ability to work on your own. Physical skills like movement, coordination, and dexterity. To enjoy working with other people.
