FP&A Analyst
A leading global trading and investment firm is seeking an FP&A Analyst to join its Commercial Finance team. The organisation deploys its own capital across a range of strategies, supported by strong capabilities in technology, data, and research, with a focus on enhancing the efficiency and liquidity of financial markets.
This is a broad and dynamic position with an initial focus on management reporting, variance analysis, forecasting, and cost allocation. The role also offers exposure to cross-functional collaboration and opportunities to improve data quality and automate finance processes.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver monthly financial analysis comparing actual performance to budget and forecast, identifying key variances and underlying drivers
* Produce clear, insight-driven commentary to explain performance, highlight risks, and support decision-making
* Support the preparation and ongoing development of management reporting outputs, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and strong governance
* Partner with stakeholders across the business to gather inputs, challenge assumptions, and ensure timely delivery of financial information
* Assist in maintaining and updating forecasting models for operating costs, including tracking key drivers and assumptions
* Contribute to the documentation of forecast changes, risks, and open items to improve visibility and planning accuracy
* Coordinate data collection processes across teams, validating inputs and ensuring completeness and reliability of information
* Support cost allocation processes through accurate data preparation and reconciliation
* Identify opportunities to enhance reporting efficiency, including automating manual processes and improving data quality
* Help develop tools and processes that flag anomalies, streamline reconciliations, and improve overall financial insight
Ideal Candidate:
* 2–3 years’ experience in FP&A / Commercial Finance
* Strong Excel skills (including complex formulas and data manipulation)
* Solid understanding of forecasting, variance analysis, and cost concepts
* High attention to detail and strong communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple inputs and work effectively with stakeholders
* Experience with BI/reporting tools (e.g. Power BI or Tableau)
* Exposure to SQL, Python, or a demonstrated interest in developing technical skills
* Interest in automation and improving finance processes
