Supporting the students with their needs alongside helping them manage their diagnosis
Ensuring the classroom is a fun and engaging environment
Helping the children manage and process their emotions
Managing any meltdowns by redirection
Facilitating any interventions
Supporting the class teacher
Supervising the classroomWhat you need to succeed as a SEN Classroom Assistant:
A positive attitude
Be enthusiastic, kind and compassionate
Interest in mental health and helping children live their best life
The ability to take initiative well
