Role Overview
Personal Assistant required for a happy, energetic and lively 12‑year‑old boy who lives in the St Austell area.
He has cerebral palsy and epilepsy, and he would like someone who can build up a positive relationship with him and provide 1:1 support.
Responsibilities
* Support him with communication and social skills out in the community.
* Accompany him to activities such as football matches, public transport and socialising outdoors.
* Provide 1:1 support to enable him to enjoy activities in the local community with and without his family.
Qualifications
* Some knowledge or personal experience of working with young people with special educational needs.
Working Hours
Primarily weekends and school holidays.
Pay and Arrangement
Good rate of pay at £12.60 per hour.
Employment will be under a private arrangement with the family and not be employed or carry out work for Cornwall Council.
