Key Account Manager

Permanent, Full-Time| Field-based across the Midlands

Our client – a global leader in pneumatic, electric and automation technology – is hiring a Sales Consultant to join their Strategic End User team, driving growth across some of the most important industrial accounts in the Midlands.

About the business

Our client operates from a well-established UK site and is part of a global group leading the way in industrial automation. UK customers benefit from faster delivery, tailored product options, and components assembled or finished by hand on site.

The Role

This is a results-driven, customer-facing role at the heart of the Corporate Global Account Strategy. You will own a portfolio of strategic end user accounts across the Midlands, building deep, value-led relationships with engineering, operations and procurement stakeholders – and converting that insight into specification wins and sustainable growth.

What you'll be doing

* Becoming an expert across the catalogued, engineered and configured product range.
* Building deep account knowledge of each assigned end user's operations and tailoring value propositions to stakeholders across the value chain.
* Producing, implementing and maintaining account plans to deliver against sales budgets.
* Driving product specification at end-user sites and identifying OEM accounts for targeting.
* Working closely with channel partners servicing your strategic accounts.
* Using sales data and trend analysis to spot growth opportunities.
* Leading conversations on OEE, MTTF and continuous improvement with customer engineering teams.
* Building strong relationships at all levels within your accounts – from shop floor to senior leadership.

What you'll bring

* A proven track record in B2B sales, ideally within industrial or technical sectors.
* Confidence running the full sales cycle, from planning through to close.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills at every level of the organisation.
* Strategic or key account management experience (highly desirable).

Location

This is a field-based role. The successful candidate should live in or near the LE, CV, B, NG, DE or WS postcode areas, putting you at the centre of your patch.
