Job Description
The role primarily involves
* Bookkeeping using bookkeeping software & Microsoft Excel
* Preparation, completion and submission of VAT returns
* Preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships, Limited companies and LLPs
* Liaising with and answering client queries by phone, e-mail and face to face
* Communicating with HMRC on behalf of clients.
* Complying with practice procedures as well as dealing with administrative duties.
You will be given full training and will take on further responsibilities as you progress through your apprenticeship programme to become a fully qualified accountant. You will be working with a highly experienced small team of 10 people, across 2 main offices (Alcester and Malvern). The majority of time will be in the Alcester office with 1 1 day a week/fortnight to be in the Malvern office.
Qualifications
A minimum of 5 GCSEs including Maths & English - essential
Ideally completed your A levels – preferred
Good Microsoft Word & Excel skills -preferred
