Operational Resilience is a top priority for the Society. The industry leading Operational Resilience function drives the day-to-day roadmap and governance of all aspects of Operational Resilience and Operational Continuity in Resolution (OCiR).
The function is also responsible for:
1. Providing crisis management and issues management services to top management cohorts including the Executive team.
2. Centrally managing and continuously improving the Society’s Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) and Operational Risk methodologies; and
3. Providing SME support and leadership to a range of projects and programmes
Your Purpose:
Have an expert understanding of Operational Resilience regulatory requirements, and practical experience leading the application of those requirements within a financial services environment. This role involves leading executive and senior management on a day-to-day basis, be a versatile communicator, strong influencer, and effective people leader, who will play a lead role in interactions with the Board and regulatory supervisors on Operational Resilience and OCiR matters.
Your day to day in leading the team to:
4. Maintain and implementing incident management processes and developing the Society’s strategic issues management capability.
5. Ensuring the Society implements Operational Resilience regulatory policy.
6. Centrally managing and continuously improving the Society’s Business Continuity Management System (BCMS).
7. Operational Continuity in Resolution
8. Provide SME support and leadership to a range of projects and programmes.
About you

9. You will be personable, credible, and creative; able to engage, influence, inform and gain the trust of colleagues at all levels of management.
10. You will have the drive to play a leading role in ensuring delivery of the Society’s shared goals, particularly those relating directly to the Society’s resilience challenges.
Essential Requirements:
11. You will have experience working as a senior leader in Operational Resilience, with strong financial services experience.
12. An experienced and proven industry professional and leader
13. A subject matter expert in: Operational Resilience Operational Risk Business Continuity OCiR Crisis Management best practice and regulatory requirements
14. Outstanding crisis manager with considerable experience managing executive stakeholders during serious incidents
15. Talented people manager, able to inspire and develop colleagues and future industry talent.
Hours : 35 Mon to Fri
