Job Description People Partner Full Time Derby, Raynesway An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Strategic People Partner in Rolls-Royce Submarines based in Raynesway, Derby. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a growing nuclear business, supporting delivery of National Defence priorities and incredible new technologies. As People Partner, you will partner with Directors to ensure the effective development and delivery of world class People Strategy and services in the Submarines Business, whilst operating in a matrix structure within the Rolls-Royce Group People delivery model. As a minimum we’re all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week. What you will be doing : Partnering with Directors and senior teams to shape business strategy to inform the department / functional people strategy and plan Bring strategic challenge and perspective to the business agenda; Diagnosing business problems from an Organisation Development perspective, using tools to identify the levers which will maximise organisation performance. Coach Directors and senior leaders on their people responsibilities, leadership behaviours and complex people projects. Drive the talent and development agenda in your own area, ensuring solid succession plans, talent development and an environment that allows people to be at their best Lead and support global and local change programmes, in particular organisational design programmes. Ensures the development of a Strategic Workforce Planning plan to support the business strategy and plan Drive the effectiveness of the HR delivery model; guide leaders to obtain support from the right areas Responsibility for implementation of Company processes such as Performance Management, Reward Review, Role grading, Salary policy, Engagement Surveys. In depth knowledge of the HR function and its capability to support strategic business objectives. Experience operating as a strategic business partner and trusted advisor is essential. Experience working in a manufacturing and/or unionised environment is highly desirable. Broad knowledge of the HR best practice across Employee Relations, Reward, Resourcing, Talent and Development, Coaching, Leadership and Employment Law. Well-developed customer and relationship management skills, including credibility and influencing skills and senior levels and across functions. Broad change management skill set, combined with the ability to apply project management principles to deliver and support organisational change Experience using Organisation Development to enhance business/organisational performance Ability to analyse and challenge business strategy and develop people implications Ability to coach senior leaders and their teams to deliver business strategy and drive performance and capability improvement within their teams Sensitive to language and cultural differences Continual commitment to personal learning, demonstrated ability to build on learning Energetic approach to managing multi priorities This role is subject to Full UK Security Clearance We are an equal opportunities employer.
