Abbott Vascular UK is recruiting a Clinical Specialist to join our Coronary team. This role is ideal for recent graduates in Biomedical Sciences or similar fields who are looking to start their careers in the medical devices industry.
The Clinical Specialist will provide operational support during procedures and training to support strategic, operational, and quality objectives within the assigned territory (South Wales/West Midlands/East Anglia/East Midlands).
Key Responsibilities
1. Support and drive employee and customer clinical training and sign-off. Create bespoke training programs based on customer needs.
2. Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of Abbott therapies and technologies, and understand the healthcare market dynamics. Stay informed on clinical studies supporting Abbott products.
3. Support physicians during clinical procedures, providing technical support to physicians and nurses. Escalate to senior colleagues as needed.
4. Assist with product implementation and customer education.
5. Conduct product presentations and address technical questions.
Requirements
1. BSc degree in a relevant discipline such as Biomedical Science.
2. Experience in a Cath lab or similar clinical role is preferred but not required.
3. Strong knowledge of Cardiac Anatomy & Physiology.
4. Familiarity with cath lab and operating room procedures is advantageous.
5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
6. Motivated individual with strong IT skills and willingness to travel extensively (driver's license required).
