Role Description
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Delivering profitable sales against agreed targets within our existing and new customer base.
Ensuring that regular contact is established to identify opportunities and further develop business.
Proactively contacting any dormant customers with a view to reactivating spend.
• Promote a positive company image and deliver customer excellence to drive customer loyalty.
• Manage customers requisitions quickly and effectively.
• Understand technical specifications to supply the correct items first time.
• Collaborate with customers to problem solve and find appropriate solutions.
•
Collaborate with suppliers to source products quickly and cost effectively to avoid project delays.
• Provide effective communication to prevent supply chain failures.
• Adopt the account management software to track and manage sales.
Establish and maintain accurate records of all customer contacts and associated information.
Maintain and follow up all quotations, highlighting and recording successes and detailing any reasons for losses.
• Organise and plan sales meetings within the UK and Ireland remotely – or in person as required.
Any other relevant duties as deemed fit to support the business e.g. Occasionally carry out product deliveries to local customer sites
Qualifications
Essential:
Good secondary level of education demonstrating a high degree of numeracy and literacy.
Technical sales experience gained in a commercial environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with a broad spectrum of individuals.
A good working knowledge IT systems including Word/Excel/Outlook.
Ability to demonstrate logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
Be self-motivated to work on own initiative.
Think broadly and act ethically.
Willing to undertake relevant product/industry/systems training.
A solution driven approach.
Have the right to work and travel within Ireland/GB.
Full clean driver's license with group 'BE.'
Access to own transport.
Able to work flexible hours as required and be prepared to travel throughout Ireland with occasional travel to GB.
Desirable:
A qualification in an engineering discipline e.g. civil engineering.
A knowledge of civils products.
A basic understanding of construction methods used in Utilities, Industrial, Renewables and Telecoms markets.
A working Knowledge of CRM systems.
A working knowledge of CAD specifications.
