Job Description
This role involves working within the Assurance Technical and Training (ATAT) team in Southampton, delivering high-quality training on accounting and auditing standards, developing bespoke audit methodologies, and coaching junior staff. The team collaborates closely with audit partners and external bodies to ensure relevant and timely advice and guidance.
Responsibilities include:
* Providing technical support and training on UK GAAP, IFRS, and auditing standards.
* Developing and implementing audit methodologies to enhance quality.
* Researching emerging issues and producing guidance.
* Performing file reviews to ensure audit quality.
* Coaching team members.
* Delivering external webinars and guidance to enhance the firm's technical profile.
Qualifications and Skills
* Qualified accountant (ACA, CA, ACCA).
* Practical knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and auditing standards with experience in procedure development.
* Excellent presentation skills for diverse audiences.
* Project management experience.
* Strong drafting skills.
