Summary
You will support the finance team while developing skills in accounting and financial administration. Assist processing invoices, payments and financial records; help with data entry, bookkeeping and maintaining accurate accounts; learn to use accounting software and support financial reporting tasks.
Wage
£16,640 for your first year, with potential increases dependent on age.
Hours
Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, 40 hours a week.

What you’ll learn
* Record transactional data.
* Use the organisation’s standard tools and processes to examine data and identify transactional issues such as reconciliations and inconsistencies between invoices.
* Recognise and rectify routine errors, escalating as necessary.
* Plan and review accounting and finance tasks.
* Communicate with stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely results, avoiding jargon and tailoring language to the audience across different media.
* Use finance and accounting software packages to accurately input and manage data for routine accounting tasks.
* Handle data and digital technology in accordance with cyber and data security requirements, including secure backup.
Training schedule
Students will attend the Eastbourne campus for lessons. An assessor will support you, set assignments, observe progress and review performance every 10–12 weeks. You will also study Health & Safety, Equality & Diversity and further professional development topics.
Requirements
* Desirable qualifications: GCSE in English and Maths, grade C/4 or above. Other relevant qualifications and industry experience are welcome and may allow adjustment of the programme.
