This is a chance to step into a key leadership role within a busy food manufacturing site. You'll be the go-to person for all things engineering on nights - running the shift, supporting your team, and making sure production keeps moving.
It's hands-on, fast-paced and full of variety - perfect for someone who enjoys problem-solving, leading by example, and driving standards forward.

What you'll be doing:
* Leading the night engineering team - setting the pace and owning performance
* Managing priorities and coordinating breakdown response
* Ensuring planned maintenance is completed effectively
* Supporting your team with technical guidance and coaching
* Taking part in RCA, CI projects, and asset care improvements
* Driving a strong safety-first culture across all engineering activity
* Communicating clearly with day teams and other departments
* Owning shift reports, CMMS updates, and stock control disciplines
What you'll need:
* Time-served or formally qualified (NVQ Level 3 / HNC or equivalent)
* Strong engineering background - mechanical and/or electrical
* Experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment
* Previous leadership experience - whether formal or informal
* Calm, confident decision-making under pressure
* Strong communicator who can get the best out of others
* A proactive, solutions-focused approach to people, kit and process
* Sound knowledge of compliance: PUWER, LOLER, and health & safety standards
