SEN Teaching Assistant - Alternative Provision

Are you a compassionate and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference? Academics are working in partnership with an alternative provision in Maidstone to recruit a dedicated SEN TA to support pupils with additional needs.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work with students who benefit from a nurturing, structured, and supportive learning environment.
🔹 The Role:
Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs, including SEMH, ASD, and additional learning needs
Working 1:1 or in small groups to encourage engagement and positive behaviour
Assisting the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
Helping students develop confidence, independence, and emotional regulation
🔹 The Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with SEN or vulnerable young people (school, care, youth work, or similar)
Calm, patient, and resilient approach
Passion for supporting pupils in an alternative provision setting
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
