Piling Engineer – 2 Year Project – Outside IR35 – Scotland
We're supporting a Tier 1 contractor on a major infrastructure scheme in Scotland and are looking for an experienced Piling Engineer to join on a long-term contract.
Location: Scotland (site-based)
Duration: 2 years
Contract: Outside IR35
Rate: Competitive day rate
Role Overview
You'll play a key role in the delivery of piling works, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality installation across a large-scale project.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee piling operations on site (bored, driven, CFA, or similar)
* Ensure works are delivered to programme, specification, and safety standards
* Review and interpret piling design and geotechnical data
* Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and design engineers
* Monitor quality, manage records, and resolve technical issues
Ideal Profile
* Proven experience delivering piling works on major projects
* Background with Tier 1 or large contractors
* Strong understanding of piling methods and geotechnical principles
* Able to manage site activities and stakeholders effectively
* Relevant engineering qualification (civil/geotechnical preferred)
