Weare seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our MentalHealth First Response Service based in Crownhill, Plymouth.
Theteam promotes an innovative way of working, triaging and respondingto crisis referrals using bothtele-coaching and video communication technology. Therole encompasses the NHS principle; right care, right time and right place. TheFirst Response Service triages mental health crisis calls and referrals,providing tele-coaching psychologically informed interventions, support,guidance and signposting. The service further delivers timely and responsiveface to face assessments where indicated.
The role ofVideo / Telecoach provides a range ofpsychotherapeutic and social interventions for people experiencing a mental health crisis. The role will also include an effectiveworking knowledge of the voluntary sector as well as an understanding of theneeds of carers and family.
Main duties of the job
Thepost involves working with people of all ages (Children and Young People, Adults and Older People) experiencing a mental health crisis via the telephone or over video and will often be working with a high level of distress.
The role will also require working collaboratively with key partner organisations, service users, carers, clinicians and other practitioners within a multi disciplinary team in delivering services. The role requires working over a 7-day week, 24 hours a day service for 365 days a year working 12 hr shifts.
This role may not be eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route; please refer to the Direct Gov website for more information with regards to eligibility.

Person Specification
Experience
* Excellent emotional resilience when repeatedly dealing with people who present with distress and crisis.
* Evidence of working with people who have experienced mental health difficulties.
* The ability to promotes ones own self care and seek support/supervision as required.
* Experience of good team working in a multi-disciplinary environment.
* Resilient in working over 24/7 shift patterns, generally 12 hrs per shift.
* Application of evidenced based interventions relevant to the service.
Qualifications
* Qualified to degree level in a relevant subject
* Qualified to degree level in nursing, social work, occupational therapy, counselling, psychological therapy
