We are seeking an individual who can think on their feet for an exciting, fast-paced position within the University of Edinburgh’s School of Biological Sciences.
The School of Biological Sciences is recruiting a Technician to join the Media/Wash-Up Team at the King’s Buildings Campus. The role involves providing media preparation, glass washing, and waste management support for research and teaching activities. Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and a positive attitude towards high workloads in a team environment are essential. Awareness of laboratory procedures, particularly safe waste handling and equipment operation, is desirable but full training will be provided.
This is a full-time (35 hours/week), fixed-term position for 6 months, with the possibility of extension to one year. For current University employees, secondments are welcome.
