In your role as Senior Financial Accountant, you will be managing a small team producing month-end results and leading on the yearly audit.
What will the Senior Financial Accountant role involve?
Lead and manage month-end closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Support the finance team with technical accounting queries and maintain compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal policies.
Oversee the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors for a smooth completion.
Prepare monthly reports for senior leadership and contribute to group-level reporting.
Monitor cash flow, forecasts, and budgets to support decision-making.
Enhance financial controls, processes, and efficiencies across the finance function.
Oversee VAT and corporation tax compliance, liaising with external advisors.
Suitable Candidate for the Senior Financial Accountant vacancy:
Fully qualified ACA or ACCA, ideally with a background in audit or practice.
Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience managing month-end, reporting, and audits.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and support team members.
Advanced Excel and proficiency in finance systems (Sage, Xero, SAP).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
