About the Role:
We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Health Care Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 day-time support for an individual living with brain damage. This is a fulfilling role that requires vigilance, empathy, and professional care to support the client’s quality of life.
You must have experience supporting individuals with Dysphagia and PEG Feeding, as managing safe swallowing and nutritional needs is essential. During your shift, you will also provide timely updates using our client's on-call mobile phone.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver consistent, person-centered care during day shifts to an individual with brain injury.
* PEG Feed patient
* Manage care plans involving Dysphagia, ensuring safe feeding and hydration practices.
* Support with personal care, mobility, and daily routines.
* Offer emotional support and companionship throughout the day.
* Monitor health and behaviour and report any changes or concerns.
* Maintain communication by sending regular updates via the on-call mobile phone.
* Keep accurate records in line with the care plan and reporting requirements.
Requirements:
* Female applicants only
* At least 1 year of experience in a care role
* Direct experience managing Dysphagia and PEG Feeding is essential.
* A calm, patient, and proactive approach to care.
* Excellent communication and observation skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a wider care team.
* Right to work in the UK and an Enhanced DBS check.
