RECEPTIONIST
Reading Office
Full-time - Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
Albin and Co Solicitors are a well-established Law firm in Reading providing services to clients for Criminal, Family, Children, Prison and Military Law.
We are based in Reading Town Centre with a high street store front location. Our receptionist is the first person to meet and greet clients that attend the firm. We are a firm that understands in a growing trend of remote working, many clients still prefer and benefit from in person contact with their Legal team and we pride ourselves in providing conference facilities for meetings.
We are looking for someone that wants to join our team, believes in great customer service and is committed to delivering a high level of performance in all tasks.
The role:
* Answering incoming telephone calls, taking messages and dealing with enquiries where relevant
* Welcoming clients/visitors to the office
* Ensuring an office log is kept for staff and visitors for health and safety
* Responsibility for conference rooms and reception and ensuring that they are tidy and well equipped
* Maintaining relevant calendars and reception diary
* Dealing with incoming and preparing outgoing post including franking
* Scanning documents and preparing bundles
* Opening new clients and case matters on the Case Management System (training will be provided)
* Action emailed instructions
* Preparing refreshments for client meetings and visitors
* Be willing to complete a First Aid course
Individual requirements:
* Experience in receptionist role or customer service
* Excellent communication skills, both on telephone and in person
* Ability to remain calm, manage and respond to difficult people or situations
* Strong sense of discretion
* Comfortable dealing with diverse pool of people
* Engaging and professional
* Capable of handling administrative tasks
* Organised and able to prioritise work
* Able to work independently
* Professional presentation, self-confident and smartly dressed at all times
* Understands the importance of, and has great, attention to detail
* Good computer knowledge including Microsoft Word and Outlook
* Good oral and written English with the ability to communicate at all levels
