Craigroyston Community High School is a non-denominational secondary community school serving a catchment area in the northwest of Edinburgh. The school roll is approximately 750. The locality is undergoing regeneration with 750 new homes being built. The catchment area includes a designated area of high deprivation, with Free Meal Entitlement at 40% and approximately 25% of pupils requiring additional support for learning. Approximately 10% of pupils are Looked After Children (LAC).
Our vision focuses on nurturing and inclusive measures, with a zero-exclusion approach, and strong links with partners to support all pupils. The curriculum aims to provide a portfolio of skills, experiences and qualifications to support positive destinations after leaving school, with strong college links and vocational options alongside traditional subjects. The school is committed to raising attainment and promoting achievement; the School Improvement Plan reflects local, City of Edinburgh Council and national priorities.
