Cross Rental Services are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to oversee all financial accounting and reporting. The Group business has recently been consolidated into one single trading entity “Cross Rental Limited”.

This role is responsible for business partnering to the MD and the senior leadership team, maintaining and improving the integrity of the financial data, leading the head office finance team and driving process improvement across the function.

Reporting to the CFO this role forms a crucial part of the local management of the business supporting the UK MD and other members of the SLT.

Who are Cross Rental Services:

Cross Rental Services are a leading provider of rental solutions in the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning) sector, catering to a range of businesses in the Facilities Management, Construction, Manufacturing, Public Sector and Petrochemical markets.

Cross Rental Services has experienced substantial growth and expansion through acquisition since it was established in 2017. Currently, we boast a strong presence in nine strategic sites across the UK & Ireland.

What You’ll Do:

* Act as trusted business partner to the MD & senior leadership team.
* Line manage local finance team.
* Manage the overall financial reporting requirements of Cross Rental Limited.
* Take responsibility for budget management, financial analysis, payroll, forecasting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and financial reporting.
* Preparation of monthly management accounts in accordance with the month end process.
* Management of all aspects of the management accounts preparation, including but not limited to:
o Reconciliation of fixed hire fleet management.
o Management of the business cash flow and reporting.
o Maintaining fixed asset register.
o Stock control systems
o Design and continuous improvement of regular reporting to the SLT

What We’re Looking For:

* Strong understanding of financial systems and reporting standards.
* Leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
* Advanced excel capabilities and experience with Sage 200 (or other accounting software)
* An analytical thinker with strong attention to detail and analytical capabilities.
* Strong communication and presentation skills.
