Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 (DOE)

We're supporting a long-standing client to appoint a Payroll-led Finance professional who can take ownership of a busy, hands-on role within a small but fast-paced finance function. This position reports directly into the Finance Director and requires someone who is confident managing payroll independently and understands the sensitivity, deadlines and nuances involved.
Key Responsibilities
· Full end-to-end payroll ownership, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality and compliance
· Managing monthly payroll deadlines, including adjustments, statutory payments and reconciliations
· Accounts payable and receivable duties, including supplier payments, invoicing and credit control
· Bank reconciliations, expenses, petty cash and general bookkeeping
· Maintaining accurate ledgers and supporting month-end processes
· Producing aged debtor/creditor reports and resolving queries
· Supporting VAT returns, system improvements and process optimisation as the organisation continues to grow
Essential Skills & Experience
· Proven payroll experience - full end-to-end responsibility
· Experience across AP, AR and general bookkeeping
· Strong Excel and accounting systems skills
· Excellent attention to detail, confidentiality and time management
· Experience in the care sector is desirable but not essential
