Your new role
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified solicitor to join a thriving Probate team within the wider Private Client department. You will handle a high-quality and varied caseload, including administering large andplex taxable estates such as farms, landed estates, and those with international aspects; acting for national charities onplex grant applications, including applications, grants de bonis non, and trust corporation matters; and advising on estates where administration has been delayed or issues have arisen, such as incapacitated executors or disputes between executors.What you’ll need to succeed
You will be a qualified Solicitor, ideally with experience from newly qualified up to around five years post-qualification, and have a genuine interest in probate law. Ideally, you will be STEP qualified or working towards STEP/ATT/CTA (as all team members are either qualified or studying), possess strong technical knowledge including inheritance tax calculations and the application of business and agricultural property reliefs, and demonstrate excellent attention to detail. Strongmunication skills, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and a proactive, methodical, andmercially aware approach are essential, along with a willingness to engage in business development activities.What you’ll get in return
