MPS/UPS FTE Maternity Contract (January2026)
We are looking to appoint an outstanding teacher of Design and Technology to join our enthusiastic and friendly D&T team for a maternity cover position. This is a maternity contract until January 2027.
We are looking for someone who:
* Is a well qualified teacher of Design and Technology
* Has a strong subject knowledge of all aspects of the D&T National Curriculum taught at KS3 and KS4
* Has experience of teaching KS5 Engineering
* Is able to generate a sense of confidence and enthusiasm for D&T
* Is willing to contribute to extra curricular activities
* Builds strong relationships with students and their families
* Works as part of a team
* Is an effective communicator
* Is well organised
* Is passionate about teaching Design and Technology
The post is suitable for recently qualified or experienced teachers, with modern D&T skills and a specialist knowledge in Resistant materials, Product Design and 3D Design. The job will involve teaching a mix of KS3 and KS4 Design & Technology classes, as well as the exciting opportunity to teach KS5 Engineering.
