Our stunning care home Formby Manor Care Centre, is a purpose built facility which is located in Formby, Merseyside. The home is registered to provide care to 76 residents who have a variety of needs including residential, nursing and dementia residential. The home reflects the New Care vision of providing the highest standards of safety, comfort and care. The home meets all CQC requirements and provides the highest of safety, comfort and care to residents who have variety of care needs including residential, nursing and dementia. We invest in our homes to enhance the experience of our residents. The includes OOMPH an award winning activities and wellbeing programme. We have also introduced electronic medication administration records and electronic in all of our homes. In addition, Formby Manor has acoustic monitoring and silent nurse call installed.New Care has had a 0 agency usage for over 5 years as we employ a permanent staff team to ensure continuity of care to residents from staff that know them and that residents know and trust. Across New Care all of our staff are paid national living wage or above.
We are seeking to appoint a kind, organised and motivated KitchenAssistant to join our team. To assist with the preparation of meals for residents and external visitors. We have a 35 hour contract available with an excellent hourly rate of £12.21! Shift times are 0800-1900, with alternate weekend working.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Assist with food preparation and cooking for daily menus as directed by the Head Chef / Assistant Chef.
2. Ensure that all kitchen equipment and kitchen areas are cleaned according to cleaning schedules.
3. Ensure compliance at all times of Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, COSHH and HACCP requirements and legislation.
4. Follow instructions from Head Chef and Chef.
5. Undertake pot washing duties on a daily basis.
Skills and experience required:
6. Previous experience of working in food services is desirable.
7. Experience of working within a busy kitchen environment as part of a team is desirable.
8. Ability to communicate effectively with other team members is essential.
9. A willingness to learn is essential.
10. No formal qualifications are required as we provide training & development in relation to this role.
