Job Vacancy We are looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our HR team on a fixed term basis to enhancing the council's attraction and talent acquisition by developing inclusive attraction strategies to reduce vacancies and reliance on agency workers, particularly in sectors with workforce recruitment and retention challenges. Aligned to workforce plans, you will develop attraction strategies to attract high-quality candidates to reduce the number of vacancies across the Council (particularly in sectors with known recruitment and retention challenges), reduce reliance on agency workers and provide professional advice to support these aims. You will work with us on key projects to achieve our 3-year short term action plan as part of our Workforce Strategy 2024-2034 which has ambitious strategic aims. You must have a degree level qualification (or equivalent), preferably in the field of management, business analysis, human resources or other relevant discipline. You must have more than 5 years’ experience of working in a professional management consultancy at a senior level with experience of improving recruitment and attraction in an organisation. Membership of the relevant professional institute, such as the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) is desirable. Substantial experience of more than 5 years of working in a professional management consultancy at a senior level with evidence of competence in project management, management reporting, analytical, presentational and interpersonal skills.
