Overview
Our client based in Reading, UK is seeking to appoint a Senior Mechanical Equipment Engineer.
Responsibilities
* Technical specification and design of equipment for individual bespoke projects ensuring deliverables are produced within manhour budgets and schedule constraints.
* Thermal and mechanical design of pressure vessels and heat exchangers.
* Technical support for the procurement of equipment across our range of technologies, including packages and static equipment.
* Production of drawings, engineering datasheets, specifications and requisitions.
* Review of detailed design information and supplier documentation.
* Periodic short term international visits to vendors, client offices and construction sites.
* Support of other departments in the company needing help with heat transfer or mechanical design issues.
* Mentoring of developing engineers.
Qualifications
* Degree qualified in relevant discipline.
* Broad range of design experience with a Process Plant and Construction company or similar.
* Flexible team player with excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
* Able to prove eligibility to work in the UK.
