You will join our software team, working on the next generations of Easy PV and Heatpunk, our web tools for designing PV and heat pump systems. As a Graduate Developer, you will have the opportunity to explore all aspects of software development. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Front end development: Collaborate with our designer to implement our design system, ensuring a clean, user-friendly UI.
2. Complex user interfaces: Work on 2D and 3D graphical editors, solving complex geometry problems.
3. Back end development: Assist in migrating our back end from PHP to node.js, with some Python and Rust modules, handling databases, file storage, and external integrations.
4. Testing and infrastructure: Manage increasing data volumes, ensuring thorough testing across environments for our expanding customer base.
5. Problem solving: Address complex mathematical and logical challenges, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
The role is based in our offices in Milton, near Cambridge. We're seeking naturally talented, thoughtful, and creative coders who are passionate about making a positive environmental impact. Initiative, independence, and pride in your work are highly valued. We welcome recent graduates or those with some coding experience, and those interested in either front-end or back-end development will find this role suitable. For front-end developers, an eye for good design is advantageous; for back-end developers, attention to detail, common sense, and security awareness are important.

The starting salary for graduate developers is typically £38K, with potential adjustments for relevant experience or qualifications.
