Assistant Director of Research, Innovation and Insights Cardiff and Llandudno Junction, Wales (hybrid working) About Us Social Care Wales provides leadership and expertise in social care and early years in Wales. Our vision is to make a positive difference to care and support for children, adults and their families and carers. To do this, we lead on developing and regulating the social care workforce, service improvement, data and research to improve care. We are now looking for an Assistant Director of Research, Innovation and Insights to join us on a permanent basis. This role is offered with flexible working options, and we will consider candidates as part of a job share. The Benefits - Salary of £66,011 - £74,138 per annum - Hybrid working from home and our office as required - Family leave policy The Role As Assistant Director of Research, Innovation and Insights, you’ll influence how evidence, learning and new ideas are used to improve care and support across Wales. Specifically, you will lead a high-impact research, knowledge mobilisation and innovation function that embeds evidence into practice and drives improvement across the sector, while playing a key role in delivering our five-year strategy. Alongside this, you’ll shape the future of our Insight Collective service, providing strategic direction to ensure it continues to empower and support the social care workforce. Additionally, you will: - Lead and grow a skilled, motivated and resilient team - Support the development and delivery of organisational priorities - Provide expert advice on innovation and improvement opportunities - Generate insights to inform policy and partnership work - Build effective external partnerships and stakeholder relationships About You To be considered as our Assistant Director of Research, Innovation and Insights, you will need: - Professional qualification(s) or equivalent experience in a relevant field - In-depth knowledge of research, knowledge mobilisation, and innovation in social care or related sectors - Experience supporting others to use research and other forms of evidence for improvement - Proven ability to build strong and effective partnerships - Strong communication skills across multiple channels - Evidence of continuing professional development We are currently engaging with staff on a reorganisation, so there could be some changes to areas of responsibility of this post, and we will confirm any amendments prior to interview.
