Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and organised Stores Manager to take full responsibility for managing our Clients spare parts inventory and ordering processes.
This is a stand-alone position, ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining an efficient and well-organised store.
The role will also involve delivering parts and equipment to engineers on-site, so a full UK driving licence is essential.Key Responsibilities:· Take ownership of all stock management processes, including receiving, storing, and issuing parts· Monitor stock levels and place timely orders with suppliers to maintain adequate inventory· Maintain accurate records of stock movements using inventory management software· Carry out regular stock checks and audits to ensure accuracy· Deliver parts and materials to field engineers on-site using the company vehicle· Liaise with engineers, procurement, and suppliers to meet project requirements· Keep the store clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety standards· Log deliveries and collections and ensure proper documentation is maintainedRequirements:· Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, or stock control role (preferably within an engineering or technical environment)· Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise workload independently· Full UK driving licence - essential· Good level of computer literacy - able to use Excel, stock systems, and email· Reliable, hands-on and proactive attitude· Ability to lift and handle stock and parts as requiredDesirable:· Experience working with spare parts or technical stock· Familiarity with inventory software (e.g. Sage, SAP, or similar)
