Your new role
Starting in September, you’ll join the English department to deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. The school is open to applications from full-time, part-time, and supply teachers — including retired professionals — who can offer high-quality teaching and inspire students to develop a lifelong love of reading, writing, and critical thinking.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Teaching English across KS3 and KS4, with potential for KS5 depending on experience.
2. Planning and delivering lessons that support progress, creativity, and confidence.
3. Supporting students in developing analytical and expressive skills.
4. Contributing to departmental planning and whole-school literacy initiatives.
5. Encouraging participation in enrichment activities such as book clubs, writingpetitions, and drama events.

What you'll need to succeed
11. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
12. Experience teaching English in a secondary school setting (including during training).
