They are now seeking a Bookkeeper to join their growing team. This is a varied and progressive role where you'll manage a portfolio of SME clients, supporting with bookkeeping, VAT, and year‑end accounts while acting as a trusted point of contact. You'll play a key role in delivering accurate, timely financial information while gaining exposure to advisory‑led work and developing your career within a supportive, high‑performing environment.
Based in Chippenham, Wiltshire, this is a full‑time hybrid role offering a salary of around £30,000 - £34,000 depending on experience, alongside flexible working with at least three days in the office; flexibility around working hours can be considered for the right candidate. Additional benefits include private healthcare after three months, enhanced holiday (birthday off and Christmas closure), training support for further qualifications, and a collaborative, no‑timesheet working culture.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage bookkeeping and prepare VAT returns for a portfolio of SME clients
* Prepare year‑end accounts to review stage for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
* Act as a key point of contact for client queries, providing clear and professional communication
* Support clients with cloud accounting systems, primarily Xero
* Ensure all work is accurate, compliant and delivered within deadlines
* Collaborate with the wider team to support workload and client delivery
Skills & Experience
* AAT Level 3+ or qualified by experience
* Solid understanding of bookkeeping, VAT and year‑end accounts
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients
* A proactive, client‑focused approach with excellent communication skills
